| GPA
is the general membership meeting, the highest leadership and decision making
organ of the APA. It is convened once every year and its quorum is simple majority
of 51%. Extraordinary GPA is called by the following authorities.
a- President of the APA after approval by 2/3 of the Central Council.
b- Presidents of the executive committees after approval by 2/3 of Central
Council. c- Signed petition by 51% of the general membership without
approval of the Central Council. Extraordinary GPAs are called for according
to necessity and propositions by the authorities and organs based on the APA principles. Duties:
1- Listening to the reports of the APA activities and achievements between
the GPA conventions. 2-Evaluation of the APA activities, listening
to the criticisms& suggestions of the APA members and the executive committees.
3- Constituting amendments and changes to the Goals and Principles of the
APA according to the new developments in the political and social situations in
the country. 4- Designing and approving the plan of action of the APA
between the two GPA. 5- Determining of the APA Central Council members
based on free elections. Back
