The Central Council (CC) is the central and permanent organ of
the leadership members which performs the current activities of
the APA between the GPA conventions. It makes the necessary decisions
in relating areas of the APA. It consists of the president of
the APA, presidents of the executive committees and elected members
of the CC. The APA president is the presiding chair of the CC,
president of all executive committees, and elected and authorized
representative of the APA.
Authorities of the CC:
1- All members of the CC have one vote per person.
2- Decisions are made with 51% of the CC members voting.
3- The CC can give warning, or relief a CC member from his/her
duties according to the bylaws of the APA and level of violation
comitted after 2/3 voting by the CC members.
4- The CC is authorized to designate an individual, or individuals
in the position of the APA president, and the vice president of
the APA in their absense by 51%voting.
5- The CC approves, or denies a CC member's proposed resignation.
6- The CC is authorized to make decisions and issue resolutions
during extraordinary situations about matters where no guidelines
exist in the APA Goals and Principles.
Duties of the CC:
1- The CC meets once every month.
2- The CC listens and evaluates the reports by its members and
makes the necessary decisions about the current APA affairs.
3- Amendments to the Goals, Principles and changes to the emblem
of the APA is proposed through the CC to the GPA
